Date of Funeral

May 10, 2025

Vicki Tyler Hudson, 66, of Arcadia, Kansas passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at the Arma Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arma, Kansas.

Vicki was born February 12, 1959 in Pittsburg, Kansas the daughter of Herman and Iris Garrett Tyler. She attended grade school in Arcadia, Kansas and graduated from Northeast High School in the Class of 1977. She had worked for Bowlus Sporting Goods Store in Pittsburg, the Lafayette House in Joplin, and as a caregiver for disabled and elderly for several different agencies. She loved her work with the disabled. Vicki was a free spirit. She lived life the way she wanted on nobody’s terms but her own. She loved and protected effortlessly. Fearless, Beautiful, Hilarous, Overwhelming and Kind. A one of a kind person that would do anything to help her family. She struggled as a single mother but never made her family feel the burden. She always had time for a conversation and never judged or ridiculed. She always had something nice to say about anyone. She had a laugh that would light up a room. She was always encouraging and inspiring. A testament to her overwhelmingly strong personality. She would be your best friend in a few minutes of meeting her. You felt like you knew her your entire life. That’s the light she carried. One of positivity, compassion, and relentless love. The world lost someone special. Vicki is the reason why life is beautiful. If  you’re lucky, you will meet a special person like this in your lifetime. We were beyond blessed to call our special person, Mom, Sister, Aunt, Companion, Grandma, and Friend. Vicki is survived by her son Damien Tiregol, his wife Shana and two grandsons, Lucas and Jacob, her daughter Jesica Montanelli and grandson Michael, her sister Debbie Jordan and her husband Jim, and her nephew Stuart Jeck and his wife Kara and their son Forest. She is also survived by her best friend and companion Fred Edwards and his son Michael. She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Iris Tyler and her nephew Tyler Jeck. The family would like to thank the Arma Health and Rehab Center and the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice for the kind and excellent care Vicki received in these last few months.

I don’t know where to begin.
I will miss your smile, your laughter, your compassion, your friendship, the way you loved without judgement, your fearless attitude to take on the world, and your ability to make everyone around you feel included.
You shared your home with me in my time of need, and I will be forever grateful for your friendship.
Your love of lighthouses made sense as you were a shining light to the people you loved. Your light will shine on, my friend.
I love you and will see you when I make the journey home.
