MAE BENNETT November 27, 1930 - April 25, 2023

Mae (Lintecum) Bennett, 92, of Girard, Kansas died at 2:34 A.M. Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Medicalodges of Frontenac.

Mrs. Bennett was born November 27, 1930 the daughter of Clifford and Nettie Reynolds Lintecum at rural home in Cato, Kansas. She attended Cato School until high school and then attended Arma High School. She graduated with the Class of 1949. She worked at several area nursing homes as an aide and retired from Mercy Hospital in Ft. Scott, Kansas after 18 years of service. She married Earl E. Bennett on June 24^th, 1950 of Girard, Kansas. Mae and Earl resided in Arma until 1952 then were lifelong Girard residents. Mr. Bennett preceded her in death on February 15, 2014. Survivors include a daughter, Karen (Ed) Fox of Girard, grandchildren, Michelle Fox Moody (Bob), Jenni Fox Diskin (Doug), Eddie J. Fox (Gayla), Stephanie Bryant, Donald Bryant, Josh Bryant (Teresa), and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Earl, and a daughter, Sharon Marrone.

Mrs. Bennett has been cremated according to her wishes. No services are planned. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date at the Girard Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas.
