FREDA MAE MANAHAN July 3, 1937 - June 11, 2023

Freda Mae Manahan, 85, of Mulberry, Kansas died at 8:44 P.M. Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Freeman Hospital at Joplin, Missouri.

Mrs. Manahan was born July 3, 1937 at Mulberry, Kansas the daughter of Clarence and Elsie King Prettyman. Freda was a homemaker who lived in Mulberry most of her life. She was raised in Mulberry and graduated from Mulberry High School. She married Charles G. (Chuck) Manahan on September 4, 1955 in Arcadia, Kansas. Mr. Manahan preceded her in death April 15, 2012. Survivors include two daughters, Terri (Greg) Cobb of Carl Junction, Missouri, and Karen (Jerry) Lucke of Mulberry, Kansas, a son, Curt (Beckie) Manahan of Humboldt, Kansas, four grandchildren, Justin, Katelyn, Chris, and Tyler, and three great grandchildren, Paxton, Raiya, and Kambry. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Chuck, and a sister, Melba Ward.

Graveside services will be at 11 A.M. Friday, June 16, 2023 at the Rosebank Cemetery in Mulberry, Kansas with Rev. Daryl Gaddy officiating. The casket will remain closed. Friends may call 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. Thursday at the Bedene Chapel in Arma to sign the register book or contribute to the memorial. The family suggests memorials to the Mulberry Funeral Dinner Fund.
