EMMA RITA HARTZFELD January 12, 1923 - January 29, 2023

Emma Rita Hartzfeld, 100, of Arma, Kansas died at 11:48 P.M. Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Carrington Place Residential Center at Pittsburg, Kansas.

Mrs. Hartzfeld was born January 12, 1923 at Oak Park, Illinois the daughter of James and Phyllis Felice Fioramonti. Mrs. Hartzfeld was a homemaker who had been a resident of Arma since 1973. She recently celebrated her 100^th Birthday party with family and friends. She worked along side her husband for Hostess Cake Company in Aurora, Illinois while maintaining her home and family. Emma married Joseph C. Hartzfeld on March 10, 1956 in Miami, Oklahoma and was married 47 years. Mr. Hartzfeld preceded her in death in 2003. Survivors include her children, Connie Morelli-Kretschmer of Arma, Jeanette (Carl) Gambino of North Aurora, Illinois, Joseph (Cheryl) Hartzfeld of Arma, and Michael Hartzfeld of Pittsburg. Emma was a loving Mother and Grandmother and is survived by 20 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Hartzfeld has been cremated according to her wishes. Memorial services will be at 2 P.M. Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma, Kansas with Pastor Don Talent officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Saturday prior to the memorial service. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date at the Rosebank Cemetery at Mulberry, Kansas. The family suggest memorials to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. Donations may be sent to or left at the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.
