Charles “Dennis” Hensley Jr. 27, of Arma, Kansas died Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at Mercy Hospital at Joplin, Missouri.

Mr. Hensley was born January 16, 1997 at Pittsburg, Kansas the son of Charles Dennis and Roselina Coulter Hensley Sr.  Dennis worked in production at Diamond Pet Food in Frontenac. He lived in Arma most of his life. He was raised in Arma and graduated from Northeast High School in the Class of 2015. He later attended Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. He loved sports, fishing, and playing cards. Survivors include his parents, Dennis and Roselina Hensley of Arma, a sister, Lina (Jonathan) Coulter and niece, Kaydence of Olathe, Kansas, and maternal grandparents, Randy and Brenda Coulter of Pittsburg, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ivan and Jeanette Hensley.

Funeral services will be at 11 A.M. Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the Bedene Funeral Home in Arma, Kansas with Rev. Daryl Gaddy officiating. Burial will be at the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Tuesday at the Bedene Funeral Home prior to the funeral service. The family suggests memorials to the Northeast High School Athletics Program. Donations may be sent to or left at the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.

    Little D was a great guy I’m glad I got to grow up with him all the trouble we got into as kids a lot of it our parents still don’t know about cause either we don’t remember or don’t want our dads to get onto us even when we wasn’t hanging out in school or riding around we was more than likely in someone’s shop or something cause our dads hung out I can never forget those times when I heard about it and what had happened I couldn’t believe it and to be so young I’m sorry I’m unable to make it but I’ll always be thinking of you guys reach out if any of you need anything love you guys and let god try to heal you even though it’ll never be the same I’ll be thinking and praying for you guys
