Brenda Kay Carter-Duncan, 62, of Mulberry, Kansas went with God at 1:03 A.M.  Thursday, December 12, 2024 from the comfort of her home with her loving husband Thomas J. Duncan at her side.

Brenda was born June 8th, 1962 at Kansas City, Kansas the daughter of Bennie L. and Barbara G. Sherman Hill Sr. the second youngest of eight children. She had been a resident of Mulberry since 1998. She married the love of her life Thomas J. Duncan on February 14, 2013 at Miami, Oklahoma. Mr. Duncan survives at the home. Brenda was a loving mother, nana, and friend to everyone. She loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren, shop, and watch Kansas City Chiefs football games with her husband. She worked as a manager at Zaraa and Texas Toms for many years but was forced to give up work due to her health. She loved anything turquoise and Native American. She spent free time relaxing with her family, shopping, and watching Soap Operas. Survivors include her husband TJ, two sons, Billy F. (Jackie) Carter Jr., Brandon J. (Stormy) Carter, a step-daughter, Toni Duncan, five sisters, Debra Schembs, Pamala Roberts, Tink Taylor, Kathy Leone, and Tina Hill-Dempsey, two brothers, Mike Easterly and Bennie Hill Jr., and many loving grandchildren nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents Barbara G. Sherman and Bennie L. Hill Sr.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 1 P.M. Saturday, December 21, 2024 at the Pallucca’s Event Center 207 E. McKay in Frontenac, Kansas. Brenda has been cremated according to her wishes. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date at the Rosebank Cemetery at Mulberry, Kansas. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.
