Patricia Kay Wright-Morris, 79, of Arcadia, Kansas died at 9:47 P.M. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Patricia was born July 22, 1946 in Pittsburg, Kansas the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Juanita Eva Totman Smith. She was a tour guide for Shawnee Indian Mission in Fairway, Kansas and later worked at Kansas State Extension Office in Girard. She was raised in Englevale and graduated from Arcadia High School in the Class of 1964. She lived in Fairway and Crawford County most of her life. She married Lee R. Wright on February 18, 1965 in Arcadia, Kansas. Mr. Wright preceded her in death on October 18, 2010. She later married Steve R. Morris on February 1, 2014 in Arcadia, Kansas. Mr. Morris survives at the home. She was a member of the Cherry Grove Baptist Church and the American Baptist Women. Survivors include her husband, Steve Morris of the home, three daughters, Robin Wright of Olathe, Shelia (Steve Squires) Wright of Lawrence, and Samantha Wright of Roeland Park, Kansas, one son, Craig (Laura) Wright of Arma, two step-sons, Erik (Cindy) Morris of West Mineral and Todd (Becky) Morris of Tonganoxie, one sister, Eileen (David) Nelson of Wichita, three brothers, Ron (Virginia) Smith of Pittsburg, Larry Smith of Plainville, Kansas and Terry (Etta) Smith of Hepler, thirteen grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lee R. Wright, a sister, Yvonne Whetzell, and a brother, Kenneth Smith.
Funeral services will be at 11 A.M. Monday, November 3, 2025 at the Bedene Funeral Home in Arma, Kansas with Pastor Mike Bright officiating. Burial will be at the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 P.M. Sunday, November 2, 2025 at the Bedene Chapel.
