THELMA JANICE BOONE December 17, 1928 - September 13, 2025

Thelma Janice Boone, 96, of Mulberry, Kansas died Saturday, September 13, 2025 at home.

Mrs. Boone was born December 17, 1928 at Mulberry, Kansas the daughter of Arthur Alonzo and Bertha Edna Alexander Lowe. Thelma was a homemaker who also worked as a bookkeeper for Atkinson Insurance in Ft. Scott and Sauers Department Store in Girard, Kansas. She lived in Mulberry most of her life. She was raised in Mulberry and graduated from Mulberry High School. She married Donald C. Boone on March 3, 1947 at Ft. Scott, Kansas. Mr. Boone preceded her in death on July 4, 2012. She was a member of the Mulberry Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two daughters, Janice (Ronald) Crays of Humboldt, Kansas and Susan Ann Boone of Arma, a son, Donald Ray Boone of Mulberry, six grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald C. Boone, two sisters, Esther Garrison and Kathryn McCoy, two brothers, Harold Smith and Alvin Lowe, two grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Mrs. Boone has been cremated. No services are planned at this time. Private burial of the cremains will be at a later date at the Clarksburg Cemetery near Ft. Scott, Kansas. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.
