MARK STEPHEN FIELDS August 11, 1951 - January 3, 2023

Mark Stephen Fields, 71, of Pittsburg, Kansas died at 10:16 A.M. January 3, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

Mark was born August 11, 1951 in Pittsburg, Kansas the son of John Henry and Margaret Eva Hay Fields. He was raised in Pittsburg where he lived most of his life. He graduated from Pittsburg High School and later attended Pittsburg State University. Mark was retired and had previously worked in engineering and other vocations. He was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals.  Survivors include a son, Michael Dennis Fields Zibert, originally of Arma, Kansas, and his wife Kim, and their son Corwin; a daughter, Jessica Fields Zibert Hobson, originally of Arma, Kansas, and her husband Cody; two sisters, Joyce (Carl) Mishmash of Pittsburg, and Trish (John) Victor of Grand Lake, Oklahoma; four brothers, John (Deanna) Fields of Pittsburg, Fred (Linda) Fields of Frontenac, Terry (Bobbi) Fields of Pittsburg, and Larry (Sooki) Fields of Pittsburg; and a sister-in-law, Marge Fields of Pittsburg. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Fields; three sisters, Lavone Thompkins, June Daugherty, and Margaret Fossey; and five brothers, Bill, Tim, Wayne, Robert Lee, and Howard Allen Fields.

Friends and family are welcomed at a Celebration of Life service, which will be Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the Frisco Event Center, 210 East 4th Street in Pittsburg, Kansas from 1:30 to 3:30 P.M. Burial will be private at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Pittsburg, Kansas. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.

Burial will be private at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Pittsburg, Kansas.
