Madeleine J. McAllister, 94, of Olathe, Kansas, formerly of Croweburg, Kansas, died at 7:30 A.M. Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Benton House of Olathe at Olathe, Kansas.

Mrs. McAllister was born November 24, 1930 at Radley, Kansas the daughter of Paul and Lea Midoux Ansart. Madeleine was raised in Radley and graduated from Frontenac High School. She worked for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union in Pittsburg and later was manager of McAllister and Son Grocery in Croweburg. She married Harold McAllister on December 24, 1958 at Miami, Oklahoma. Mr. McAllister preceded her in death May 19, 1992. She was a member of the Arma United Methodist Church, the Red Hats, and Lon Helm Post #182 American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include a son, DeWayne (Katherine) McAllister of Olathe, two grandsons, Sean and Connor McAllister, and a step-grandson, Chris (Sarah) Zollar. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold, a brother, Paul Ansart, a sister, Helen Davis, and a sister-in-law, Helen Ansart.

Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. Thursday, April 3, 2025 at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma, Kansas with the Rev. Steve Cole officiating. Burial will be at the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Thursday at the Bedene Chapel prior to the funeral service. The family suggest memorials to the Arma United Methodist Church. Donations may be sent to or left at the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.
