Frances A. Chiartano, 84, of Frontenac, Kansas died at 3:36 P.M. Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Mercy Hospital at Joplin, Missouri.
Mrs. Chiartano was born September 5, 1941 at Iola, Kansas the daughter of Joseph and Marguerite Bergmann George. She lived in Crawford County most of her life. Frances was a homemaker who loved to play cards and traveled 48 states. She was raised in Greenbush and graduated from St. Paul High School. She married Robert H Chiartano on April 25, 1968 at Miami, Oklahoma. Mr. Chiartano survives at the home. Additional survivors include two daughters, Roberta Nelson of Joplin, Missouri and Rhonda (Dan) Scales of Girard, one son, Randy (Marilyn) Chiartano of Girard, seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Joe George.
Mrs. Chiartano has been cremated according to her wishes. No services are planned. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date at the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.
