Perry Phillip Short, 64, of Lyndon, Kansas died at 6:36 A.M. Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Midland Care Hospice in Topeka, Kansas.
Mr. Short was born September 7, 1960 at Pittsburg, Kansas the son of Paul Dean and Betty Joan Leverich Short. Perry was a laborer. He was raised in Girard and graduated from Girard High School. Survivors include his companion, Edith Doan of the home, a daughter, Angela (George) Zook of Ottawa, Kansas, two sons, Phillip (Jessica Porter) Short of Lyndon, Kansas and Levi Short of Osage City, Kansas, four brothers, Dary Short of Arkansas, Mike Short of Mint Hill, North Carolina, Kevin and Kelly Short both of Girard, four sisters, Pam Thurman of Rogers, Arkansas, Cindy Owen of Farlington, Kansas, Tina Short of Arkansas, and Ragenia Walker of Topeka, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Paula Russell and Peach McNew, and one brother, Ray Short.
Graveside services will be at 11 A.M. Thursday, July 17, 2025 at the Girard Cemetery in Girard, Kansas with Pastor Lori Stevens officiating. Friends and family are requested to meet at the cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.
